Open Access Policy
All articles published in IJBM will be immediately free for everyone to read, download, copy, and distribute. The authors of articles published in the International Journal of Biomedicine (IJBM) are the copyright holders of their works.
We currently offer Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial–NoDerivatives 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0) license for IJBM articles. The CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 license permits the use and distribution of all published articles in any medium, provided that the original work is properly cited. It is prohibited to distribute materials for commercial purposes or to modify or adapt the original works. The authors grant the International Journal of Biomedicine a license to publish the article and identify itself as the original publisher.
Article Publishing Charge (APC)
As an open-access journal with no subscription charges, an Article Publishing Charge (APC) is payable by the authors, their institution, or funders to cover the costs associated with publication. The APC invoice is issued only after the article has been accepted for publication. APC helps IMRDC make articles freely available and recover the costs of publication—including peer review management, production of the printed journal version, online hosting and archiving—enabling electronic citation in other journals that are available electronically.
IJBM charges a processing fee of $135.00 per printed black-and-white journal page and $150.00 per printed color-illustration page. IJBM charges a processing fee of $125.00 per page for online-only publications. For online-only publications, all illustrations submitted in color will be published in color online, at no cost to the author. Authors' research funded primarily by an institution or organization from eligible low- and lower-middle-income countries (see the World Bank official website) may receive partial funding from IMRDC. Funding of Article Processing Charges (APCs)
Many funding agencies explicitly allow the use of research grants to cover Article Processing Charges (APCs) for publishing in open-access journals. In addition, numerous institutions have created central funds to cover APCs. Make sure to check with your institution whether OA publication costs are supported.

Depositing and Archiving Policy
Published articles and full journal issues are available on the publisher's website. Open Access in IJBM permits immediate and free public access to the final publisher's version (Version of Record) of an article upon publication, under CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 license. Authors may deposit the Version of Record without an embargo period in the institutional repository and their personal website. The repository deposit must include a link to the original published article on the journal website via a DOI and include the appropriate CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 license notice.
